Here, the Mayflower Passenger list continues. This portion of the list includes the Brewsters, the unruly Billingtons and Dotys, as well as the Tilly brothers.
Here, the Mayflower Passenger list continues. Amazingly, of the more than 100 persons aboard only one death occurred while crossing from England to America. That person was William Butten who was a servant of Samuel Fuller. Butten died on November 6.
The list of Mayflower passenger will continue in subsequent articles as research is made.
William Brewster. William Brewster was born in 1567, in Scrooby, Nottinghamshire, England. Prior to escaping to Holland, then to America, he had married Mary Brewster.
Love Brewster: Love was the son of William and Mary Brewster. He was born in 1611, in Leiden, Holland. In May of 1634, he married Sarah Colliers at Plymouth.
Edward Doty: Doty was born in about 1597 or 1599, and probably in Lincolnshire, England. The name of his first wife is unrecorded but in 1634 or 1535 he married Faith Clarke at Plymouth. He came aboard the Mayflower as a servant to Stephen Hopkins.
Edward Tilly: Edward was the brother of John Tilly. Like his brother, he was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact.
John Tilly: This person, brother to Edward Tilly, was born in 1571 in Henlow, Bedford, England. Prior to coming to America, he married Joan Hurst Rogers, a widow, on September 20, 1596. John's wife and their youngest daughter, Elizabeth, were also aboard the Mayflower.
Eleanor Billington: Eleanor, mother of Francis and John Billington II, was born about 1582. In 1603 she married John Billington I. After Billington I was hung for murder in 1630, she married Gregory Armstrong in September of 1638.
Francis Billington: Billington, brother of John Billington I, was born about 1606, probably near Spaulding, Lincolnshire. In July of 1634 he married Christian Eaton at Plymouth.
John Billington II: This Billington, brother to Francis Billington, is believed to have been born around 1604 near Spaulding, Lincolnshire.
John Billington I: Billington I was the father of Francis and John Billington II. He was born about 1580, in Lincolnshire. In 1603, he married Eleanor.
