The Soviets place missiles on Cuba aimed at the United States.


After Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev get together and begin placing missiles on Cuba, that are aimed at the United States, President John F. Kennedy places naval ships around Cuba to halt the process. The incident came to be called the Cuban Missile Crisis.
