The question of whether the Pilgrims had turkey at the first Thanksgiving is answered here.

When the Pilgrims sat down to the first First Thanksgiving along with about ninety Indian guests, they likely did have turkey. They also had available to them corn, venison, a variety of birds and fish, as well as shellfish. Although fruits and berries were past their season the Pilgrims surely had dried a plentiful supply. Ben Franklin, a century later, wanted the turkey to be the national bird, but Franklin lost that argument.
